Fifth Grade Social Studies Essay Topics - Doing Your Own Writing?If you're a high school senior, the fifth grade Social Studies Essay Topic is: 'Social Change and the Role of Government.' As I'm sure you can imagine, the subject matter can be tricky if you're in fifth grade and don't have much experience with learning.There's been quite a bit of criticism about the types of things that our current president has done recently. I've read some of it, too. The president and others in the past have shown a lack of respect for the office of the president, and they have made comments that I think are inappropriate for a commander-in-chief.However, when the topic comes up in Social Studies it's all about 'The Future of Social Change,' and some of the specifics of some of the recent changes in society. We've seen civil rights advances, and some of the nation's major problems have been solved or at least put to rest.In fifth grade, though, the topic is not just about 'social change' but rather the future of government and the role of government in society. It's not a new concept. In fact, it's something we've talked about before, if you can believe that.As I mentioned earlier, this is the fifth grade and it's easier to be concise and less complicated when you're in fifth grade. But while this is easier for some students, it's not easy. You might want to seek help, perhaps from your teachers' support group, but there are some points that could be discussed in sixth or seventh grade, too.Fifth grade isn't an appropriate year to discuss national history, or even political or military history. I know it's tempting to go ahead and discuss these subjects, but you can't forget history. The lesson would need to be revised, which would require either retesting new material, or a little of both.One great extracurricular activity that can teach you a lot is to take a government class with your friends. You might even try it when you're in seventh grade and see how well it goes. It might be a little less interesting than a Social Studies essay, but it's still interesting.Of course, if you want to teach yourself to write an essay on fifth grade essay topics in seventh grade, you should always have a teacher around. I know that's a way of life for some teachers, but it's good to have someone there to help you through the process, especially if you're at a point where you're just starting to grasp how writing essays works.
