Fifth Grade Social Studies Essay Topics - Doing Your Own Writing?

Fifth Grade Social Studies Essay Topics - Doing Your Own Writing? If you're a high school senior, the fifth grade Social Studies Essay Topic is: 'Social Change and the Role of Government.' As I'm sure you can imagine, the subject matter can be tricky if you're in fifth grade and don't have much experience with learning. There's been quite a bit of criticism about the types of things that our current president has done recently. I've read some of it, too. The president and others in the past have shown a lack of respect for the office of the president, and they have made comments that I think are inappropriate for a commander-in-chief.However, when the topic comes up in Social Studies it's all about 'The Future of Social Change,' and some of the specifics of some of the recent changes in society. We've seen civil rights advances, and some of the nation's major problems have been solved or at least put to rest.In fifth grade, though, the topic is not just about 'social change' but rather the future of government and the role of government in society. It's not a new concept. In fact, it's something we've talked about before, if you can believe that.As I mentioned earlier, this is the fifth grade and it's easier to be concise and less complicated when you're in fifth grade. But while this is easier for some students, it's not easy. You might want to seek help, perhaps from your teachers' support group, but there are some points that could be discussed in sixth or seventh grade, too.Fifth grade isn't an appropriate year to discuss national history, or even political or military history. I know it's tempting to go ahead and discuss these subjects, but you can't forget history. The lesson would need to be revised, which would require either retesting new material, or a little of both. One great extracurricular activity that can teach you a lot is to take a government class with your friends. You might even try it when you're in seventh grade and see how well it goes. It might be a little less interesting than a Social Studies essay, but it's still interesting.Of course, if you want to teach yourself to write an essay on fifth grade essay topics in seventh grade, you should always have a teacher around. I know that's a way of life for some teachers, but it's good to have someone there to help you through the process, especially if you're at a point where you're just starting to grasp how writing essays works.

The paper will also look at certain connotations of theory adopted by the group report in an effort to shed more light on the management practices adopted by the company in relation to the various MBA modules available for review.IntroductionResearch has played quite an important role in the quest to find solutions to most of the problems facing various individuals and corporate entities. The key to a successful research and report compilation exercise is its practitionersà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ strict adherence to research procedures and methodologyCITATION God04 \p 9 \l 1033 (Goddard Melville, 2004, p. 9). Given the relatively short period of time of approximately two days availed to the group for the carrying out of the research process, an array of strategies were implemented to enable the group collect the necessary information as this paper will seek to establish. The paper will give a lot of consideration to the appropriateness of the strategies employed by the group in its quest to a nalyze operations at Adviza from an individual perspective. Of great concern will also be the data analysis process and how it influenced the recommendations made in the group report for the purposes of establishing weather the entire process would add significant value to the company in question or otherwise with reference to the dictates of the reputation and responsibility MBA module. An analysis of the feedback received from staff at Adviza would also enable this paper evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the group approach utilized during the carrying out of the research activity in question.Group strategiesTeamwork played quite a pivotal role in ensuring that the gathering, interpretation and analysis of data took place simultaneously to enable the group meet the stipulated deadline. It also facilitated the interaction of different sets of ideas from the various group members to enhance objectivity and divergent views which are quite essential in the research process. This fact enabled the group effectively conduct a benchmarking analysis of operations at Adviza in comparison with those at two other companies namely Prospect and St Giles. Teamwork enables researchers to gather as much data as possible since information is sought from various sectorial players by the various team players at the same timeCITATION Gri08 \p 47 \l 1033 (Griffin, 2008, p. 47). This fact made it possible for the group to collect data from company employees while soliciting for more information online. The application of several data collection strategies including the use of questionnaires which were emailed to external stake holders and the carrying out of face to face interviews were the methods of choice utilized by the group to retrieve the desired information. Despite the challenges which faced the two methods including the formerà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s inability to collect information outside the inscribed questions and the formerà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s inability to reach an adequate numbe r of the desired audience targeted by the research activity; the group report drew a lot of inferences from the data compiled using these two procedures. Telephone interviews were also conducted to collect information from respondents who could not be reached for comments using the two main avenues.Information synthesisThe kind of reputation a company builds during the course of its dispensation of services greatly determines its anticipated successCITATION Per13 \p 31 \l 1033 (Perez Leonard, 2013, p. 31). The creation and management of an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s reputation is hence an important factor for consideration while crafting its growth and development master plans. In a move aimed at establishing Adviza as an independent company free from the influence of Connexions Thames Valley which had been in existence for a considerably longer period of time; a combination of various strategies were rolled out to enable the company manage its reputation and remain productive as po inted out by the group report. Of significant importance will be the groupà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s analysis of the companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s maneuvers in comparison to the procedures spelt out in the reputation module. The reputation of a company is often determined on the basis of how a company is perceived by stakeholders within its sphere of influence but outside the management structure of the said companyCITATION Gri08 \p 61 \l 1033 (Griffin, 2008, p. 61). In order redefine a companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s agenda status and mode of dispensing services to conform to a given reputational dimension, the manner in which such moves are perceived by external stakeholders ought to be given serious thought. The group report gives credibility to this claim by virtue of the number of external stakeholders sought for interviews as compared to the internal stakeholders. The groupà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s application of the RELATE framework used to compare responses of both internal and external stakeholders in a bid to establish t heir perception of the companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s reputation also serves to emphasize the importance of the external stakeholderà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s opinion.Reputation and corporate responsibility managementThe establishment of a companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s reputation as stipulated in the reputation module entails a procedural process which involves the mapping of the companyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s prevailing situation which ...

My Personal Opinion Essay - 1349 Words

For as long as I can remember I have been told to constantly strive for more and never settle for less. It wasn’t until one day when I decided to chauffeur a few friends to a local creek that I began to change my personal opinion in regards to exceling in the workplace. During a conversation, my friends and I got on the topic on how each of us was doing. One of us said â€Å"I’m good, I’m not overwhelmed or underwhelmed.† and someone responded, â€Å"so you’re whelmed?† This simple and somewhat odd question caused me to think about things differently. I decided that the idea of â€Å"whelmed† can be defined as being completely content with the current state of your life and self, be it physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. The idea of being â€Å"whelmed† caused me to wonder why it isn’t okay, to just be okay. I believe that the society that we live in has conditioned us to believe that more is better and happiness is only achieved when you have the most recent top of the line inanimate object and enough left over money to splurge on things you don’t need. That way of thinking has caused America to become an individualistic society. You hear the phrases â€Å"This is a dog eat dog world† and â€Å"fend for yourself† and it shows that there is an underlying drive to make it to the â€Å"top†. And once you finally get to the top that is when you are successful. But if you’re not fighting to get there then you are doing something wrong. The First Crusade And The Crusade - 1192 Words

The first crusade started in autumn of 1095. Pope Urban II initiated the first crusade by calling upon his Christians to reclaim the city of Jerusalem. The Crusade was also meant to seek revenge on the followers of Islam. The followers were accused of committing crimes against â€Å"Christendom†. Pope Urbans crusade was made possible by the work of St. Augustine on Christian Violence in the past. Many Christians joined the crusade because the Pope promised rewards for the afterlife. After the fourth century, Christianity underwent a transformation when it fused with the Roman state for which warfare was essential. St. Augustine and Pope Urban enabled violence to be an option for Christians and it can be described in this quote, â€Å"For the first time in Christian history, violence was defined as a religious act, a source of grace.† After the Pope’s Christian tour, many Christians were ready to destroy everything that stood in their way. After the Pope called the Christians to battle, the First Crusade started in the spring of 1096 in Northwestern Europe. The first attack was not against the Muslims, but against the Jews. Anti-Semitism had existed in Europe already, but the First Crusade was considered the first mass violence against the Jews. The Crusaders were convinced that the Jews were partaking in the murdering of Jesus in Jerusalem. Pope Urban called for the lords and knights who formed society’s military elites. The Rolling Tides Of Power - 1468 Words

Devin Vanzant Ms. Martin Period 5 February 23 2016 The Rolling Tides of Power When you group social groupings, war and weaponry, and the economy together, there may not be an apparent similarity between the three items, however, it truly is apparent, and that similarity is the aspect of competition for power. Throughout the course of the history of the United States, the want for power has been a continuous competition. this competition has been apparent on both a national and international level over disputes of social labeling and values, a competitive industrial economy, and as well a fight to be on top in the scientific worlds of medicine and military through different examples in our past, present, and near future. Deaf Culture And Interpreters History - 1368 Words

American Deaf Culture and Interpreters History Deaf culture in is one of America’s many sub-cultures, which means that it is a culture imbedded into the overall culture of the nation. What is unique about the deaf culture is that at times it is a sub-culture of a sub-culture, of a culture, for example the deaf community in Colorado is a sub-culture of Colorado’s culture, and Colorado culture is a sub-culture of the American culture. It can get even more complicated than even that, because say there is an African American deaf culture in the deaf community that adds another deaf culture. It is also unique and set apart from other cultures because of the language barrier between the deaf community and the hearing community. Deaf culture has only recently been accepted by the general public, as well as they have not always had access to an interpreter. Deaf culture has changed drastically since before the 1960’s. In today’s society deaf culture is not considered to be a population of animal like humans, but that was not the case before the 1960’s. In the past people who were deaf did not live normal lives, they were in a way the outcasts. If you were born deaf before the 1960’s there were not many options for the deaf, often times they were looked down upon and thought of as glorified animals. Misconception of the God of Lighting Marvels Version

Who fits in the description of a blonde blue-eyed god, carries an electric hammer that can crush mountains and flies the god through the air, and talks in an old English Shakespeare speaking? That would be the famous Norse God of Lighting, Thor, or at least in the Marvels version he is like that in the movie Thor. Marvels version of Norse Mythology is actually different from the actual mythology which results a misconception of the myth to the people who watch the movie Thor. People sometime believe that Marvels version of Norse Mythology is the actual myth of Norse Mythology itself, because they believe that Marvel is telling the true tales in their own way. They sometime have forgotten that the movie Thor is an artist interpretation†¦show more content†¦As I asked him more questions, there were signs that his knowledge about Norse Mythology had Marvel’s elements mixed in it therefore caused misconceptions about Norse Mythology. Another example of people mistaking th e mythology from Marvel would be one of my friends. I was asking her opinion about a story I was making based on Norse Mythology. The topic was about the legend of Thor, particular his weapon Mjà ¶lnir, as I read to her the proprieties of the hammer. Thors iconic hammer, can only is held when hes wearing the iron glove Jà ¡rngreipr according to its lore. However, she was confused for a moment as she heard the description. She questioned it because she thought only those worthy could hold and wield the hammer as she recalled the information from the movie. That was Marvel’s version, the lore explains that the mythology-Thor himself couldn’t even wield the hammer if he wasn’t wearing those gloves. The requirements about the hammer were changed most likely because the concept of those who were worthy fits in a genre about a story of heroes and worthiness than using a magic glove to lift Mjà ¶lnir. Like my brother, she had mixed Marvels elements in Norse Mytholog y, especially beings like Thor even though their minor, but important details. Thor is the god of thunder and said to be the strongest of all men and gods in both Marvel’s and Norse Mythology. He is described to be a protector, and a hero for

Social Policy for Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics

Question: Explore Contemporary Social Policy Debate. Answer: Contemporary Social Policy Debate The childcare centers came to Australia during the Second World War, when the mothers went to the war, and their children are being taken care of, by these centers. It was there to provide support to the children of the poor and the destitute family (Logan, Sumsion Press, 2013). During the 1950s, the childcare centers were there in Australia for those families in Australia, who could not access either the community program or the government programs. The childcare centers, although, was not that popular during that time because, during that time the childcare centers actually was not in demand, since most of the mothers are not working (Katz, 2014). The Childcare Act of 1972, which came during the reign of McMahon government, allows the federal government in Australia to get involved in the childcare sector (Logan, Press Sumsion, 2016). The particular act provided provisions to the federal government so that funds can be provided to the non-profit organization, so that they could h elp in providing childcare services to the people. During the years of Hawke and Keating the childcare policy, went through a positive change. During these years or rather during the years of the reign of the Hawke government, the childcare policies or the act received much support. During these years, subsidies are introduced for those families who are using the childcare services. The subsidies allowed the families to pay the fees of the childcare services, whether they are seeking the help of the profitable service centre or from the non-profit service centre. The state level organizations and the government used to regulate the minimum standard of the childcare centre and when the Keating government came to power, they introduced the quality accreditation approved by the federal governments. The accreditation actually helped in supervising those minimum standards that are being used by the state level government for the regulation of the childcare centers (Logan, Press Sumsion, 2016). In the present day, there is the National Quality Framework and this particular framework helped in the regulation of the system (Sugiyama,, Okely, Masters Moore 2012). The childcare policy is a debate that has the children at the center and this particular policy, helps in focusing on the funding and the provision issues of the childcare center (Newberry Brennan, 2013). Today the employment of the women have increased, thus the demand for the childcare centers have also increased and this has bring into the front the quality issue, where, the health, education and the nutrition of the children had to be taken better care (Wolfenden, Jones, Finch, Wyse, Yoong, Steele Williams, 2015). Therefore, the regulations are tightened, with respect to the staff qualification and with respect to the staff-to-child ratio as well. The fact that the staff qualification is being given utmost importance is something that is often being criticized by the human services professionals. According to these professionals, the women who most of the time in the family day care centers, especially those women who used to work during the 90s, most of the time have the overseas certificate. After the recession the women had lost their jobs but the experience they had in handling the children is not be taken into granted and only on the basis of their degree, they are not being provided with the jobs. Thus, this is something that is being seen a wrongdoing of the bureaucrats, and thus most of the people, who are the human service professionals criticize this thing. Impact of Social Policy in One Client Group The most important client group of the childcare center is the parents and the policies regarding the childcare centers and its development has a great impact on this particular client group. The government policies until the Keating government were such that the parents did not have to think much about the funds and the fees of the childcare centers (Andrews, Neopanay, Yaddehige Jorgensen, 2014). The scenario changed after the recession and the new policies that are being introduced by the government are such that it has actually provided an extra burden on the parents because the costs of the childcare centers have increased. The parents find it difficult to raise their children and at the same time carry on with the work they are doing (Allen Cowdery, 2014). They could not actually balance both the things, which created a huge problem for them. The financial assistance that is being provided by the federal government of Australia is divided mainly into two parts and these are th e, Child Care Benefits and the Child Care Rebate. The Child Care Benefits is being referred to those subsidies that are being directly provided, either to the parents or to the childcare centers. It accounts for per hour subsidy that is being provided to the parents and the childcare centers and this particular cost is the tested cost, and this particular thing is very beneficial to those who are belonging to those families that are the part of the low-income group. On the other hand, there is another kind of financial assistance, which is being provided to the parents of the childcare centers, by the federal group. The subsidy that is being provided to the families increases when there is an increase in the Cost Price Index or the CPI. The particular financial assistance is provided with the help of the Child Care Rebate or the CCR. The CCR, unlike Child Care Benefit or CCB is not tested and therefore, the 50% rebate is being provided to the childcare centers out-of-the packet (Brennan, Cass, Himmelweit Szebehely, 2012). The parti cular payment has inflation when there is inflation on the actual price of the cost of the childcare. Therefore, it can be said that the particular cost will be a part of the growing share of the federal budget, along with the increase in the strong demand and at the same time with the increase in the steep childcare price. Therefore, in the recent years the Australian women had not only face increase in the price of the growing childcare facilities, provided by the centers but at the same time there has been a loss of the benefits that are being provided by the federal government of Australia. Thus, it creates a pressure for the women earner or the single mothers and they have to increase their working hours because along with all these women had to pay the tax as well. Thus, all these have created pressure on this particular group of client, and this policy has he following impact on the particular group of client. Involvement of the Human Service Professionals The childcare professionals are the most important human service professionals who are involved in the childcare industry and the childcare policies had an effect on them as well. The childcare professional plays an important role, in the childcare centers and thus can be one of the major drivers who could influence the policies that are being introduced by the federal government (Pietrantonio, Wright, Gibson, Alldred, Jacobson Niec 2013). The childcare policies that are there are the ever-changing policies and the childcare professionals should make sure that there are able to cope up with the changes that are brought in the centers. The changes can be positively accepted by the childcare professionals and at the same time, the childcare professionals should be able to cope up with those changes as well. The childcare professionals could react in a positive way to the changes that are there in the organizations, although there are times when the childcare professionals could act in a negative way and could affect or influence the childcare policies that are there. The childcare professional could act in a negative way about the policies of the state, because of several reasons and among them; one can be that the childcare professionals, become too cautious (Coyne, 2015). There can be policies regarding caring about the behavioral development of the child and the childcare professional can react to this in a negative w ay because, they may feel uncertain about the challenging behavior of the children in the day care or in the childcare center. In these cases there are chances of the childcare professionals becomes less confident about their role and they could also lose their confident, when they are interacting with the children in the childcare center (Essa, 2013). In many day cares or in the childcare center there are male professionals who are being hired to look after the children. The parents sometimes accept the particular things and there are times when the parents do not accept such kind of things. The childcare center on the other hand feels that the people should feel that the males are equally responsible to everyone and those who are good they could actually carry out all the work, even they could care for the child at the same time. The male and female workers or the professionals working in the childcare center could actually, help in building the trust that is there in the children regarding their families. Thus, this particular thing or rather the inclusion of the male professionals in the childcare centers could actually affect the policies related to the childcare centers. Moreover, if the women with experience turn out to be a good childcare professional then that could also have an effect on the policies that are being laid d own by the state. The state policies could then could come up with those things that could allow the women with experience but not that much of qualification to be a part of the childcare center. It would helpful specially for the outstation women or for those women who do not have the qualification degree of the country, rather they carry the degree of the other country and thus most of the times are not allowed to be a part of the childcare center. Utilization of the Policy Positively in Service Provision The human service professionals, who work for these centers, could utilize the policies that are for the development and the growth of the childcare centers that are there in a positive way. The positive utilization of the policy could result in: Children who belong to the financially backward family, getting better opportunities and thus they could easily go through the transition of the early childhood to the late childhood period (Fenech, 2013). Most of the time the children who belong to the financially backward family, do not have such an environment that will help them to get ready for the better transition and succeed effectively in the late childhood period. Thus, the policies effectively influence the growth and the development of the children and at the same time could help them to live a better life at the same time (Brennan Fenech, 2014). Thus, it is important that the policies related to the childcare centers are there, this is one of the positive effects of the policy, and the effect work of the childcare professionals could actually help in the positive utilization of this particular policy. Helping the students with disability to go through the transition period and the childcare center and the professional working there could help in that. The children with disability, is more demanding than the children those are not having any disabilities, The children with disabilities, are more stressful to handle than the children without, especially in an environment of transition (Crawford, Stafford, Phillips, Scott Tucker, 2014). Thus, the childcare professional could take care of this demand and stress effectively and the policies and the find structure of the state are such that children of different social background could be a part of it. Thus, in this way, there can be a positive utilization of the policies, laid by the state and the childcare professionals could help in achieving it without any problem or trouble. Development of those children, who belongs to various religious, ethnic and linguistic background, and the childcare professionals play an important part in it (Henderson, Grode, OConnell Schwartz, 2015). The childcare center consists of children of various backgrounds and the religious values along with the Western philosophy, which are being implied in these centers helps the children to remove all the caste and the racial barrier. The children later on in life could fight incidents like being bullied because of the skin color or because of their race (Lamb, Sternberg, Hwang Broberg, 2014). Most of the time the people of other linguistics are not proficient with the English language, the childcare centers help the students to overcome this shortcomings and childcare professionals are important driver in bringing this particular positive outcomes (Nielsen, Mushin, Tomaselli Whiten, 2016). Therefore, these are the following ways, which could help in positive utilization of the policies and the childcare professionals could help in achieving that without any problem. Critical Reflection I think that the childcare centers that are there in Australia are helpful for the working parents and the working parents as well as the single parents receive many benefits from these centers. The subsidy that is being provided by the government, and which is the part of the social policy related to the childcare centers, because these funding is there for the childcare centers, therefore, the centers have not only increased in numbers but it has been diversified at the same time. Today there is not only the childcare center but there is also the long day care center and at the same time, there is the Community based and the family day care centers. All the centers have really being helpful for the growth of these centers and along with the growth of these centers things have changed for the people living in the country. Unlike the nineteenth and the twentieth century, the demand for the childcare center is there in the country because the number of working women and the number of single mother has increased in the country. Thus, the demand has increased and with the increase in demand, there is both the profit, non-profit childcare centers. Along with these two kinds of center there is also the community based childcare center, all these centers helps in the growth and the development of the children and at the same time it has provided jobs to the unemployed youth at the same time (Tayler, Ishimine, Cloney, Cleveland Thorpe, 2013). The policies although, that are there gives less importance to the caring attitude of the people but more importance to the qualification or the degrees that are being hold by the people. I believe this particular thing is a hindrance for the policy, but at the same time, it is true that to interact with the children having challenging behavior at times the qualificatio n of the childcare professionals are required. Thus at times, the issue that whether an experienced or a qualified person would be employed as the childcare staff becomes a debatable issue. The debate could be easily resolved by recruiting such a person who is capable, of handling almost all kind of children in the childcare center. The recruitment of the male staff in the childcare center in my opinion is something to, which the policy makers should give a thought. The male childcare professionals actually could help in the overall growth of the child. Moreover, if the male and the female work in the same environment there will be a sense of trust among the children and this sense of trust would help them to grow through the transition; thus the parents should be open about this particular issue, for the welfare of their own child. Stem cell Essay Example For Students

Stem cell Essay Few recent scientific issues have stimulated so much media attention, public debate and government involvement as that of Stem cell Essay research. Stem cells offer people hope by promising to greatly extend the number and range of patients who could benefit from transplants, and to provide novel therapies to treat debilitating diseases such as diabetes, Parkinsons, Huntingtons, heart disease and stroke, as well as accidental damage such as spinal cord injury. So why would anyone object to research in this area? The problem is simply that a particular type of stem cell, which potentially could provide many cell types for a wide range of therapeutic uses, is obtained from the very early embryo. To make matters even more contentious, the same cloning technology that gave Dolly the sheep could in theory be used to tailor stem cells to the patient. Some people worry that we are taking research too far down paths that make them feel uncomfortable, others think it is downright immoral and against their deep-held, often religious, beliefs. We will write a custom essay on Stem cell specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now But what are the scientific issues and why do many of us feel equally passionate that the research should be allowed? What are meant by stem cells and how might they be used? There are many types of stem cell, but they share several interesting properties that set them aside from other cell types. The adult body contains hundreds of specialised or differentiated cell types, each playing a particular role. Some of these are long lived and do not divide, such as nerve cells; others are short lived and need to be replaced through cell division. Usually, when cells divide, their daughter cells are identical and of the same type as the parent cell. In other words they divide symmetrically. Additionally, their fate and their properties are fixed once a liver cell, always a liver cell. In contrast, stem cells undergo asymmetric divisions, producing both another stem cell, in a process called self-renewal, and a cell that will become differentiated. The differentiated cell may still be able to divide, but it cannot normally go back to form the original type of cell. In some circumstances stem cells can increase their numbers, giving rise only to more stem cells. However, stem cells in the adult are usually in tune with the tissue to which they belong. They divide at the appropriate rate to self renew and to give rise to just sufficient differentiated cells to replenish those that have been lost. However, with accidental trauma or disease the normal rate of regeneration is often too slow to allow for repair. This is particularly true within the nervous system, but also in other tissues where turnover is low, such as the pancreas. How can we harness stem cells to cure diseases? We have become very used to the idea of organ transplants in medicine, to treat a wide range of problems from cataracts to kidney or heart disease. However, we are also all aware of the frequency with which they fail, often through immune rejection, and there is also a serious shortage of organ donors. Both problems could be solved if tissue could be taken from one part of the body to repair another part of the same individual. There are relatively few cases where this is done at present, e.g. using valves from leg veins to repair heart valves. Rather than using whole donor organs or tissues, an alternative would be to use the stem cells able to form those tissues. In fact this is already done with bone marrow transplants, where the stem cells in the graft can regenerate all the different types of cell in the blood. Other types of stem cell could be used in a similar way. For example, the correct stem cell type might allow specific cell types to be replaced in the nervous system, where it is impossible to transplant whole structures. The idea is to identify and remove the stem cells from a particular tissue, multiply them outside of the body and then use them to replace damaged tissue. .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .postImageUrl , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:hover , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:visited , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:active { border:0!important; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:active , .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6 .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uff2848da78ff94d10ae98a9dc00b73a6:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Same Sex Marriages Essay This is already done to some extent to repair skin in burn victims, where a small piece of skin can be grown to cover a burn many times the area . Research in the use of Stem Cell Essays holds limitless possibilities in the medical field. We will write a custom essay on Stem Cell specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Stem cells are the cells in our bodies that are in their primitive form. These cells have not yet become the type of cell they are destined to be, whether it be nervous tissue or another. However, even though stem cell research is a great new field, its progress is being limited by moral concerns and ethical questions. In order to let medicine reach its full potential, stem cell research should be legalized in throughout the 50 states. Knowledge of these cells would save countless lives and should not go un-tapped. Knowledge about stem cells is quite limited as of the present day. There has not been that many experiments done considering the amount that could be carried out if only it was legal. Research with stem cells is very hard to complete since it is outlawed in 48 of the 50 United States. Only California and New Jersey allow such research to be carried out within their borders. In order for any advancement to be made, people would have to except this kind of research as a much needed action and which has to be done. Also, as of right now, only 60 lines of stem cells are available for research globally. Most of these 60 lines are also held by foreign nations which make it extremely difficult for any laboratory in the United States to acquire any sample to experiment with. Some people share such views as the President of the United States, George Bush, that the amount of stem cells available will be sufficient for research. This idea, however, is not held by many scientists and biochemists alike. A reaction taken from an article from Dr. Sanjay Gupta expresses the feelings of one biochemist of the University of Pennsylvania. I think were going to really have a problem here in fulfilling what George Bush promised, and that is that what is out there is enough. said Arthur Caplan. It seems to be very clear that the availability of these stem cells is the reason knowledge is limited on the subject. This amount of cells would be able to increase greatly if only all 50 states legalized the research. Without this research, the United States will surely be passed up by other countries in the medical field. Despite the fact the U.S. wants to be ahead of other nations, many American citizens could be cured of their ailments and their lives would be able to be saved. The possibilities with the use of stem cells seem to be almost endless. So many good things could come out of using these ideas in modern medicine such as a cure for eltzhymers and diabetes. The fundamental idea behind stem cells is that one would be able to use these cells to create any type of cell that is needed. A doctor would be able to use this technique to cure some ailments that were previously considered incurable. Diseases and injuries such as paralysis could be cured by simply re-growing certain types of cells. This also means that any tissue would be able to me duplicated using ones own DNA. .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .postImageUrl , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:hover , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:visited , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:active { border:0!important; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:active , .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982 .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u10ee853d9c3dc36ecbb91c08b347d982:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Flag Desecration Essay This great advantage could mean the end to having transplanted organs rejected by the body which would increase survival chances of patients. If someone experienced problems such as heart or liver failure, doctors would simply be able to form a new organ using stem cells from the patients body. A great testament to this idea comes from Dr. John McDonald who is the current nerve doctor for Christopher Reeve. Dr. Mcdonald is the director of the Spinal Cord Injury Unit . Stem cell Essay Example For Students Stem cell Essay Stem cell Essay Research One of the most popular clinical studies being researched these days is stem cell transplantation. Until recently, moral issues of states and countries havent allowed research to expound deeply into the unknowns. Within the last ten years though, scientists have made leaps and bounds in finding out concrete facts that this stem cell research has supplied. Tommy G. Thompson, Secretary of Health Services states, ;I believe it will open up a world of opportunity for scientists, not only at the NIH, but elsewhere, because it demonstrates a cooperative atmosphere among academia, the private sector, and government that will allow us to move ahead; (;sign stem;1). To prove their point, scientists have broken down the basic facts of their studies throughout the last ten years. Embryonic stem cell transplantation is a related course of cells that are in charge of certain functions and systems of the body. The cells used in the transplantation process are contrived from ;cryopreserved suspensions; from the fetal liver, thymus, bone marrow, spleen, brain, and the pancreas. Introducing these cells to the body can be approached in different ways. The first step taken is engrafting or multiplying cells in the affected area. These cells will then supplement missing or declining cells and replace/repair missing functions of the body. Production then commences with considerable amounts of biologically active substances such as nerve growth factor, tumor necrosis factor and interleukins etc. When these cells have been transplanted, they are capable of migrating, establishing intercellular links and responding to various effects. However, because of their immature transplantation to the human body, these cells cause a weaker immune response than mature cells. Alexander Smikodub, a doctor of Medical Science at the National Medical University states, ;cells that we use are not considered by the immune system of the recipient as foreign, therefore, they can survive, multiply, and develop full function in the body of a new host; Smikodub). These cells can then survive and multiply, capable of lasting for months and years in the body of the recipient. In the areas where tissue or organs have been damaged or lost, they substitute the lack of functional activities. These cells can also produce new generations of cells that are needed by the patient. When strategically placed, they can support, restore and replace the functions of their specialization in the body. These methods have never received such success with amazing reparative and rejuvenating actions and effects. Scientists working with this field for the last decade have explained the steps observed from their view in detail. After the transplantation occurs, there appear positive changes in emotional and psychological sphere of the patient. In this period, the disappearance of depression, improvement in mental creativity and an inner feeling of strength are a few of the results immediately noticeable. In all of these changes occurring, there is a substantial reinforcement of the will and spirit of the person. With some diseases, these changes are very drastic and very important due to the grim and psychological background of the case. Mental capacity also increases quite soon, creating better concentration and ability to maintain attention, thinking, speech and memory. Some of the neurotic manifestations of the patient tend to disappear beginning with irritability, easy fatigue and apathy. At this time sleep improves and insomnia disappears with sleep becoming refreshing and recuperative. While their sleep is improving, patients also find that their physical activity likewise increases. Desiring to move, they persistently increase their physical load of bodily functions and workout. In this process, overweight people tend to become more in shape and skinny people increase weight. Overall, their appearance gains freshness and rejuvenation of presence. Some of the biggest changes taking place at this time are movements that the patient could previously not accomplish at any level. The coordination of movement being restored, the nerve system is directly affected for the better. .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .postImageUrl , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:hover , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:visited , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:active { border:0!important; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:active , .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126 .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u77a9f67a17d90eece71b38229d0ba126:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Hacking For Money Essay These changes that are occurring can happen quickly of over an extended period of time depending on the patients situation.
